Our Story

Established in 1991 by Arthur and Pauline Turner, Rainford Precision Machines has built a strong reputation for supplying world-class machinery and precision cutting tools to some of the most demanding sectors within high-precision engineering.

From the very beginning, our focus has been on providing customers with not only exceptional products, but also the specialist knowledge, technical support and personal service needed to help them achieve the highest standards of precision, productivity and performance.

Over more than three decades, Rainford has developed trusted relationships with leading manufacturers and engineering businesses across the UK, building a reputation founded on quality, technical expertise and long-term customer partnerships.

In May 2019, Miles Evans and Hazel Burgess took over the company, continuing the strong foundations established by Arthur and Pauline while bringing a clear vision for the future.

Since then, Rainford Precision Machines has continued to evolve, expanding its portfolio of world-leading machine tool and cutting tool technologies while strengthening the level of technical expertise and customer support we provide.

Today, we work with some of the most respected names in precision engineering, offering carefully selected technologies for applications where accuracy, reliability and performance are critical. Our portfolio spans advanced machining, ultra-precision manufacturing, EDM and specialist cutting tool solutions, allowing us to support customers across a wide range of demanding applications.
