Ball Nose Endmills

The NEW 3 flute CFB range (2 to 12 mm dia.) with variable tooth spacing reduces chattering and improves surface finish, while the CBN range (0.2 to 2.0 mm dia.) allows harder steels to be machined to high surface finished, while the tool life is impressive.

The NEW four flute HFB ballnose range has a unique centre clearance to help with higher feedrates, minimal wear and better surface finish, with Hard Max coating it is suitable for machining steels up to 65HRC. The addition of a minimal cross-cut on the centre point of the tool prevents rubbing and clogging with swarf and gives a better cutting action, thus improving the surface finish achieved.

With the demands for accuracy of form increasing the UNION TOOL range of Super Excellent Ballnose endmills offer solutions with guaranteed radius tolerance of ±.003 mm. Each tool comes with its own certificate of conformity.

Flexibility for toolmakers is also shown with the HLB range of ballnose endmills having a variety of flute and clearance lengths for each diameter of endmill. The standard radius tolerance in this range is an impressive ±.005mm, whilst the shank diameter has a five micron tolerance and cutting diameter fifteen micron tolerance.
